Millions of children in Africa lack access to schools, which means they don’t get the education they need to succeed as adults. The world has committed to change this through the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which call for universal primary education by 2030. While this goal may seem ambitious, there are many reasons why it’s critical that it will be met soon.
Education is a fundamental human right, but it’s also a fundamental necessity. When we have a more educated population, society progresses and prospers. That’s why it’s so important to build schools in Liberia and other parts of our world that are struggling with poverty and civil unrest.
