This project will rehabilitate the building “A” of the BTT Elementary SDA School which contains a multi-purpose hall, a walkway, teachers’ lounge and administrative offices. The multipurpose hall is also used as class rooms with moveable partitions to provide conducive learning and teaching environment for students and staffs.
1. This project proposes the Plastering of building “A”, tiling of the floors, installation of Ceiling tiles, completion of 2 bathrooms and painting of the Building.
2. The project will benefit 200-250 students (Kids)
3. The main issue that will be solved due to this project:
– Unconducive learning environment:
– The absence of ceiling tiles in the classrooms, allow sound traveling from one classroom to another leading to noisy learning and teaching environments coupled with, very heated classrooms.
– Injury prone walking surfaces, dusty classrooms and walkways due to rough untiled floors.
– Some students and Parents have complained about students sharing bathrooms with the staffs
– Staff withdrawal from school because they don’t feel comfortable with the prevailing conditions of bathrooms and offices
– Staff being forced to use the same bathroom with the students due to the incompletion of the staff bathroom.

As a Non- for-profit organization in The Netherlands and Liberia, community involvement, participation and empowerment are key for our implementation activities. Community members and school officials participated in the planning of this project and will partake in the implementation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation processes of the entire life of the Project. The community is also responsible for providing volunteers with the requisite skills to perform the tasks required for the project implementation.
